Entre hongos y glaciares
One of the jewels of the Sistema Iberico is located between the provinces of Soria, Burgos and La Rioja. Scots pine, beech and oak forests and, in between, glacial lagoons. The jewel of the area is the Laguna Negra. A very special place for a motorhome getaway with good services for our motorhomes.
La Laguna Negra has good access by motorhome. The general car park is less than two kilometers away. Autumn is one of the best times to visit it.
Vinuesa, Molinos de Duero and Salduero are three charming towns where you can taste the local gastronomy: asados, torreznos, pastoral migas ...
The port of Santa Inés, dominating all the peaks, is another place to go for a good hiking route.
In La Rioja, you can visit Viniegra de Arriba and Viniegra de Abajo.
Towards the west we can find wonderful places such as Castroviejo, in the town of Duruelo de la Sierra, with access for motorhomes, although some sections must be done with caution.
Las Lagunas de Neila, in the province of Burgos, is another of the great attractions of the area. You have to get to Quintanar de la Sierra and from there to the town of Neila, from where we ascend to the lagoons. Good access for motorhomes.
In summer, the Cuerda del Pozo Reservoir is a good place to take a bath in one of the several natural beaches there are.
Excellent place in autumn for the collection of different types of mushrooms. To carry out this activity you need a permit that is done online. www.jcyl.es
